Ireland: Cyber risk insurance gaining traction

Cyber risk insurance is increasingly gaining importance in Ireland after several hacking attacks that have occurred worldwide recently, the Irish Independent reported.

Grant Thornton International Ltd.'s Cybercrime Survey 2014 showed that cyber crime-related costs to the Irish economy total more than €400 million ($526 million) a year. The number of security breaches recorded across the country has been on the rise in recent years.
