Marsh Canada acquires specialty construction broker

Marsh Canada, a subsidiary of Marsh L.L.C., has acquired Montreal-based Kocisko Insurance Brokers Inc., a commercial insurance brokerage serving the construction sector, Marsh said in a statement Wednesday.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Kocisko focuses on providing commercial insurance and risk management to construction and surety operations throughout the province of Quebec, Marsh said in its statement. Kocisko employees will join Marsh Canada’s national construction and surety practice and will be based in the company’s Montreal location.

“This addition enables us to offer greater resources and a broader platform to serve the needs of construction clients in Quebec,” said Alan Garner, president and CEO of Marsh Canada Ltd.
