Asia Pacific: Local reinsurers more resilient to headwinds, says S&P

Standard & Poor's Corp. has said that local reinsurers in Asia Pacific have better competitive positions than their peers in Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, reported Asia Insurance Review.

Local Asia Pacific reinsurers have considerable market shares and can withstand global competitive pressures, S&P said.

Regional reinsurers in CEEMEA face greater investment risks, added S&P.
