U.K.: Farmers asked to consider environmental liability insurance

Farmers in the United Kingdom have been asked to consider environmental liability insurance as they could face penalties up to thousands of pounds if the environment is affected due to farming, reports Farmers Guardian.

Kevin Coulthard, senior broker at Country and Commercial Insurance Brokers Ltd., said farmers should be aware of the damage to environment through leak of hazardous substances and many insurers were focusing on environmental liability in their policies.
