U.A.E. prone to cyber attacks, says report

A U.S. report has said that U.A.E. government websites are exposed to cyber-attacks, reported The National.

A report by the Going Global Defense Initiative of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, said international cooperation is a must to fight such attacks.

Ralph Thiele, a cyber defense expert, said the attacks could be aimed at threatening the stability of governments.

Hani Nofal, executive director of intelligent network solutions at Gulf Business Machines Dubai, said cyber security was increasingly facing more complex challenges with the increase in internet connections and technologies.
