NFP acquires two New England brokerages

National Financial Partners Corp. has expanded its business in New England with a pair of brokerage acquisitions.

NFP closed the acquisition of Poulos Insurance Inc.,which has 19 offices in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont on Aug. 4. Four days later, NFP closed the acquisition of Boston-based Altus Specialty Group L.L.C.

“Poulos and ASG have a combined New England presence which expands NFP's national standing and continued dedication to growing our property and casualty insurance practice,” said NFP Chairman and CEO Douglas W. Hammond in a statement.
