Aon buys Peruvian brokerage Grana

Aon P.L.C.'s Aon Risk Solutions unit has acquired Lima, Peru-based brokerage Grana y Asociados, Aon said Wednesday.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

“Latin America is one of the fastest-growing regions and a key area of focus for Aon and our clients,” said Aon Risk Solutions CEO Michael O'Connor in the statement.

Grana, which has about 60 staff, has specialist expertise in the construction and mining industries, he said.

The purchase follows Marsh L.L.C.'s purchase in May 2013 of Peruvian brokerage Rehder y Asociados Group, which had a representative brokerage relationship with Aon.
