Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. has enhanced its Premier Professional product with an additional Side A directors and officers liability coverage called Endurance CyberWrap.

The new coverage applies to nonindemnified directors and officers losses triggered by network security failures including data breaches, the Hamilton, Bermuda-based insurer said in a statement Wednesday.

The endorsement is available to companies with revenues of up to $500 million, according to the statement.

“Recent events have demonstrated that directors and officers are not immune to privacy-related litigation,” Brad Gow, senior vice president at Endurance Pro, said in the statement. “We have seen a number of lawsuits filed against directors and officers for, among other things, breaches of fiduciary duty and the waste of corporate assets related to high profile network security failures. Endurance CyberWrap provides Side A protection in the event of a security breach and can be used to complement in force D&O coverages.”
