Sweden: Coop recalls hamburger meat after detection of salmonella

Salmonella contamination has prompted Swedish hypermarket chain Coop to recall its in-store brand of hamburger meat, reports The Local.

Sales were stopped after traces of salmonella were found during a routine check. Meanwhile, supermarket chain Lidl Stiftung & Co. has also halted hamburger sales after a meat supplier said the packages may contain salmonella, reports The Local.
