Lloyd's of London's profits to take hit from Malaysia Airlines flight disasters
Posted On: Jul. 28, 2014 12:00 AM CSTLloyd's of London is expected to see hundreds of millions of pounds wiped from its profits in 2014 becasue of the two recent Malaysia Airlines flight disasters involving flights MH-17 and MH-370, Sunday Express reported.
The insurance industry estimates that the MH-370 tragedy will cost more than $100 million.
n 2013, Lloyd's registered a 14.3% increase in pre-tax profit to £3.2 billion ($5.29 billion).
