Insurance broker Willis names global placement leader

Willis Group Holdings P.L.C. on Tuesday said it has appointed David Martin as global leader of placement, and that Steve Hearn will assume Mr. Martin’s previous role as CEO of Willis Insurance U.K.

In this newly created role Mr. Martin will lead Willis’ insurance placement activity worldwide and work closely with the broker’s global network of placement leaders, Willis said in a statement.

Mr. Hearn will lead the firm's U.K.-based retail and global specialty operations and continue in his role as deputy CEO of Willis Group.

Messrs. Martin and Hearn are based in London.
