Bangladesh's insurance sector remains neglected, say industry players

Bangladesh's insurance business is seen as among the most neglected sectors by industry players, The Financial Express reported.

Mahbubur Rahman, president of the International Chamber of Commerce, Bangladesh, said "there is no government priority and interest for the development of the insurance sector."

Mr. Rahman added that though the government has established an authority for "development of insurance industry, it is yet to be fully empowered."
