Alternative reinsurance capital key threat to Europe's insurers, reinsurers: A.M. Best

A.M. Best Co. Inc. has said in a recent report that alternative reinsurance capital is among the top 10 threats to the financial strength of European insurers and reinsurers, reports Artemis.bm.

The ratings agency has termed this as a “grey swan” event – a term used for the known threats to the industry. The report said alternative reinsurance capital can result in a "slow and painful death" for some insurers and reinsurers and could alter the market landscape, Artemis.bm reported.
