New hires expand Lockton's gaming, entertainment and sports practice

Lockton Cos. L.L.C. has hired former risk managers Veronica Fuentes and Svenja Dahlstrom as part of the company’s gaming, entertainment and sports practice.

Previously, Ms. Fuentes was the risk and safety director for the M Resort Spa Casino, and Ms. Dahlstrom was the risk manager for the Tropicana Las Vegas, according to the statement.

“We are thrilled to augment our team with such talented professionals as Veronica and Svenja who, as former risk managers at major Las Vegas strip properties, know firsthand the inherent risks our clients face on a day-to-day basis,” Lenny Fodemski, chief operating officer of Lockton’s Pacific Operations, said in a statement Thursday. “We believe their perspective and level of understanding will be an invaluable asset not found at other brokerages.”

“Our reach into the Las Vegas market to acquire risk specialists who are deeply rooted in the industry demonstrates Lockton’s commitment to our gaming, entertainment and sports clients,” Jared Mitilier, senior vice president of Lockton’s gaming, entertainment and sports practice, said in the statement.

Ms. Fuentes and Ms. Dahlstrom are based in Las Vegas.
