Committee to oversee Integro management following exit of Peter Garvey

Integro Ltd. has named John Clements chairman of the board of directors and Rocco J. Nittoli as vice chairman to succeed Peter Garvey, who abruptly left the insurance brokerage he helped co-found in 2005.

Integro declined comment on why Mr. Garvey, who had been president and CEO, left New York-based Integro.

“The company wishes Mr. Garvey well in his future endeavors,” Integro said Tuesday in a statement.

Integro said it has formed an executive committee, consisting of Marc Kunney, president of its North America operations; John Sutton, president of international operations; William Goldstein, president and chief operating officer; Toby Humphreys, chairman of Integro Insurance Brokers Ltd.; and William P. Costantini managing principal and general counsel.

The committee will assume management responsibilities, including those of Mr. Garvey, Integro said.

“We are pleased to have elevated a team of proven Integro executives to lead the company's continued organic and acquisitive growth,” Mr. Clements said in the statement.

As recently as last June, Mr. Garvey spoke with Business Insurance about Integro's prospects moving forward.

John Clements is the son of Robert Clements who died in 2010 and co-founded Integro with Mr. Garvey in 2005. Integro is headquartered in New York and has offices in the United States, Bermuda, Canada and the United Kingdom.
