Endurance considering higher offer for Aspen, say sources

Sources have told Reuters that Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. is thinking of offering a higher bid of about $50 a share for Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd. after its initial offer of $47.50 a share was recently rejected.

This new bid will take the total amount to around $3.26 billion.

The sources said no details are available on the timings of the increased offer, adding that Endurance may boost the amount of cash it will inject into the deal, reports Reuters.
