Slovenia: 4.4-magnitude earthquake strikes near nuclear plant

A magnitude 4.4earthquake has jolted Slovenia southwest of Ljubljana city, the United States Geological Survey said.

The incident happened around 200 kilometers from a nuclear power plant at Krško town, RT reported. Austrian geologist Heinz Hoegelsberger said “the plant has been built in one of the most earthquake-prone areas of Slovenia" and as per U.S. standards "Westinghouse shouldn't have been built near a fault."
