Brown & Brown names R. Andrew Watts as CFO, treasurer

Insurance brokerage Brown & Brown Inc. has named R. Andrew Watts as executive vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer.

Mr. Watts’ appointment as executive vice president and treasurer are effective immediately. He reports to J. Powell Brown, president and CEO of Brown & Brown, the broker said Monday in a statement.

Mr. Watts will succeed current Treasurer and CFO Cory Walker when he retires in March, according to the statement.

“We are pleased to welcome Andrew to our senior leadership ranks following a nationwide search for the right candidate for this very important position within our company,” Mr. Brown said in the statement.

Previously, Mr. Watts was global head of customer administration for the financial and risk division of Thomson Reuters Corp.

Mr. Watts is based in Daytona Beach, Fla.
