BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Willis North America restructured, new executives named

Willis Group Holdings P.L.C. on Wednesday said it has revised the organizational structure of Willis North America Inc., the broker's North American retail brokerage business and its largest operating unit, and made several senior appointments in connection with the changes.

Willis North America has been divided into seven regions: Northeast, Atlantic, South, Midwest, West, California and Canada. The regional divisions will be supported by corresponding teams of national partners, the company said in a statement.

“The moves announced today are in line with Willis' strategy announced last July, and as part of that strategy we are investing in growth markets, defined by geography, industry sector and client segment,” Todd Jones, CEO of Willis North America, said in an email. “In North America, we are beginning to identify ways to more effectively deliver the full range of Willis' global expertise locally in order to better serve our clients. In addition, we have established a structure that supports simplicity and focus within markets, especially California.”

Three new national partners who will head up operations in its South, West and California divisions are:

• Eric Hein, most recently the Charlotte, N.C.-based managing partner of Willis' operations in North Carolina and South Carolina, now will lead business operations in Alabama, the Carolinas, Florida, Georgia and Louisiana as national partner for the south region.

• David Fuhrman has been appointed national partner of Willis North America's newly established California regional division. He previously served as managing partner of the company's operations in Los Angeles.

• K.J. Wagner, previously the managing partner of Willis' operations in Arizona, will expand his oversight to include Colorado, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Washington and Wyoming as national partner for the west region.

The newly appointed executives join an existing regional leadership team that includes Joe Gunn, Doug Pera, Mike Liss and Rick Hynes, national partners for the Northeast, Atlantic, Midwest and Canada divisions, respectively, according to the statement.

The seven regional leaders all report directly to Mr. Jones, who was named CEO of Willis North America in July.

Willis also announced that Paty Daves has been named managing partner of the company's operations in Illinois, and that John Sherlock has been named managing partner of operations in Pennsylvania.
