The Risk Manager of the Year® and Risk Management Honor Roll® Awards are presented by Crain Communications Inc.'s Business Insurance, which is the authoritative news and information source for executives concerned about risk and its impact on their business, and also by providers of risk management products and services. The award is presented in collaboration with the Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc., which is the professional organization dedicated to advancing the practice of risk management.

The Risk Manager of the Year® award was created in 1977 by Business Insurance to increase the recognition of risk management professionals and the outstanding programs they create and manage for their organizations. The Risk Management Honor Roll® program was added in 1981.

Any full-time executive who administers risk management programs for a corporate, nonprofit institution or government entity is eligible for submission in the Risk Manager of the Year® program. The nominations are judged by an independent panel representing prior risk manager honorees and insurance industry leaders.

This year's event will be held April 29, 2014 at Kevin Taylor's at the Opera House/Studio Loft in Denver, CO.
