Russia: Top 10 insurers account for nearly 60% of premiums

Russia's top 10 insurers accounted for 58% of the country's total insurance premiums during the first nine months of 2013, Forinsurer reported.

These insurers reported 400 billion Russian rubles ($12.4 billion) in combined premiums during the period. OOO Rosgosstrakh was the top insurer with RUB 78.4 billion in premiums, with a 11.4% market share. OJSC Sogaz was second with RUB 71.8 billion in premiums, a 10.4% share, followed by OJSIC Ingosstrakh with RUB 51.2 billion in premiums, a 7.4% share.
