QBE Brazil names new chief

QBE Brasil Seguros S.A. has named Raphael Swierczynski as its new chief, replacing Alessandro Jarzynski from Mar. 1 2014, Segs.com.br reported.

Other than Brazil, Mr. Jarzynski also oversees the insurer's operations in Chile, Colombia, Ecuador and Puerto Rico and will focus exclusively on these operations once Mr. Swierczynski's appointment comes into effect.

The aforementioned five countries make up around 45% of QBE's sales in Latin America.
