Guy Carpenter unveils enhanced modeling tool

Guy Carpenter & Company L.L.C. released MetaRisk 7.2, the latest version of its risk and capital management software, for insurance companies seeking advanced risk modeling capabilities, the company said Monday.

The unit of Marsh & McLennan Cos. Inc. said in a statement the software platform offers enhanced catastrophe model blending and financial capabilities, along with improvements in usability and overall functionality.

Integrating underwriting, reserves, catastrophe, credit and investment risk operations into one comprehensive economic planning solution, MetaRisk 7.2 allows users to process multiple variables for economic and strategic planning, the statement said.

“By adding these new features to MetaRisk, Guy Carpenter is demonstrating its commitment to providing our clients with state-of-the-art, technology-enabled analytics,” Donald Mango, vice chairman of enterprise analytics for Guy Carpenter, said in the statement.
