Cambodia: Flash floods destroy about 14% of rice crops

Around 14%, or about 369,346 hectares, of rice crops in Cambodia have been destroyed by recent flash floods along the Mekong River, with major damage seen in about 113,260 hectares, local sources said.

Farmers are comparing the indundation to the deadly floods in 2011, Oryza reported. They are concerned that debts may rise considerably as a result of the crop losses.
