India: Heavy monsoon causes $1.2 million loss to district
Posted On: Jul. 9, 2013 12:00 AM CSTThe district of Thrissur in Kerala, India, is estimated to have sustained losses of more than 75 million Indian rupees ($1.2 million) because of heavy monsoon, the district collector said.
The agriculture sector alone sustained losses of INR 65.2 million ($1 million), City Journal reported.
