Rio Tinto suspends coal exports from Mozambique after disruption threat

Rio Tinto Group has temporarily halted coal exports from Mozambique following the Mozambican National Resistance party's threats to disrupt the Sena railway "coal corridor,” Reuters reported.

The miner said it has "paused" operations on the rail line and is assessing the situation. Meanwhile, Brazilian miner Vale S.A. continues to use the rail line but has deployed additional security measures.
