Bangladesh: Production suspended at nearly 25 apparel factories over workers' protests

Production at almost 25 apparel factories in the Ashulia industrial belt of Bangladesh came to a halt after workers refused to work demanding a hike in their salaries, just-style reported.

The Savar-Ashulia belt, home to more than 300 apparel units, accounts for around 25-30% of total export production in Bangladesh.
