India: Fire breaks out at oil refinery

Fire broke out at a Hindustan Petroleum Corp. Ltd. oil refinery at Malkapuram in Andhra Pradesh on May 16, The Times of India reported.

Sources said a short circuit in a unit of the refinery triggered the fire. The extent of damages is yet to be ascertained. The refinery that has a current capacity of 8.5 million metric ton per annum
