New Zealand: Tornado claims in West Auckland $1.7 million higher than estimated
Posted On: May. 7, 2013 12:00 AM CSTThe cost of claims for the tornado that hit Auckland's Hobsonville and Whenuapai suburbs in December 2012 is $8.7 million New Zealand ($7.4 million), $2 million New Zealand ($1.7 million) higher than the original estimate, the Insurance Council of New Zealand said.
Commercial claims stood at $1.9 million New Zealand ($1.6 million), The New Zealand Herald reported.
