Brazil, Mexico and South Africa are countries with greatest cargo theft risk: Report

A recent report by FreightWatch International Inc. has identified Brazil, Mexico and South Africa as countries with the greatest risk of cargo theft, Supply & Demand Chain reported.

Brazil has recorded more than 10,000 cargo theft incidents in the last decade. In 2012, Mexico witnessed more than 6,000 cargo thefts, mostly involving truck hijackings. South Africa has seen more than 800 truck hijackings.

Mexico's largest cities are most often targeted by cargo theft criminals as they house several industry and distribution hubs for cargo.
