Western fashion stores asked to compensate for Bangladesh factory disaster

The recent collapse of a garment factory in Bangladesh has put pressure on Western fashion stores as many of them source garments from poor nations, Agence France-Presse reported.

A War or Want activist has asked international brands to take responsibility for the incident.

The organization has demanded that these brands sign a Bangladesh Fire and Building Safety Agreement.

Canada's Loblaw Companies Ltd. and Britain's Primark Stores Ltd. have offered compensation to the victims.
