Tokyo Electric Power Co. has said that there were leaks of radioactive water at its Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power station, reported Jiji Press.
The leakage, which occurred on Apr. 11, originated from a possibly loose joint between a pipe and a pump used for transferring water from an affected reservoir, the Japanese electricity company said. TEPCO added that an estimated 22 liters of contaminated water has been leaked.
