Dutch raises terrorism threat to "substantial"

Dutch government has raised the threat of terrorism to The Netherlands from "limited" to "substantial" due to rise in the number of jihadists travelling to Syria and signs of traumatization among the country's youngsters, reports Xinhua citing the National Coordinator for Security and Counterterrorism.

NCTV said that around a hundred jihadists recently travelled to several countries in Africa and the Middle East and are likely to return to the Netherlands "with a strong desire to commit violence, thus posing a significant threat to this country". The Dutch intelligence services have intensified their investigation on the security risks.
