Marsh names market research leader for work comp Center of Excellence

Mark Walls has been named workers compensation market research leader of Marsh Inc.'s Workers' Compensation Center of Excellence, the brokerage announced Monday.

Mr. Walls, based in St. Louis, will be responsible for providing information on emerging workers comp trends and regulatory issues to Marsh clients and prospects.

Mr. Walls previously was vice president of claims for St. Louis-based Safety National Casualty Corp. He also is founder and manager of the Work Comp Analysis Group on LinkedIn, the largest online discussion community exclusively devoted to workers comp topics. The forum includes more than 18,000 members. Mr. Walls also is a frequent speaker on workers comp topics.

“His experience and knowledge of the workers compensation market, as well as his passion for client service, will help provide our clients with invaluable market insights to help them stay ahead of emerging challenges and identify issues before they become problematic,” said Christopher Flatt, New York-based leader of Marsh's workers comp center, in a statement.
