Endurance names CEO for global reinsurance

Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. has named Jerome Faure as CEO for global reinsurance, effective March 11, the Bermuda-based specialty property/casualty insurer and reinsurer said Wednesday.

In this newly created position, Mr. Faure will be responsible for its North America, Bermuda and international reinsurance operations, Endurance said.

Previously, he was a partner at ILS Capital Management Ltd., focusing on insurance-linked securities, industry loss warranties and collateralized reinsurance. He also has served as director and chief underwriting officer at Tokio Millennium Re Ltd.

“Jerome is highly regarded in the reinsurance industry for his ability to strategically build businesses across the full breadth of underwriting products,” said David Cash, CEO of Endurance, in a statement. “His extensive international experience and relationships will be a welcome addition to our leadership team and we look forward to working with Jerome to expand Endurance's global reinsurance footprint.”

He will be based in Pembroke, Bermuda.
