Australian businesses see rise in cyber security incidents

According to 2012 Cyber Crime and Security Survey Report, more than 20% of the 255 Australian organizations surveyed have admitted of being target of cyber crime in 2012, with further 20% having experienced more than 10 "cyber security incidents," reports theage.com.au.

The report by Australian Computer Emergency Response Team showed that companies who did not report a cyber incident were likely to have not detected them.

The majority of cyber attacks came from external sources, while 44% came from within the organization.
