Texas Mutual president and CEO to retire, successor named

Texas Mutual Insurance Co. has announced the retirement of its president and CEO, Ron Wright.

Austin, Texas-based Richard J. Gergasko will succeed him in the position, the workers compensation insurer said in a statement Tuesday. Previously, Mr. Gergasko was president and chief operating officer at SeaBright Insurance Inc.

“Ron leaves big shoes to fill,” said Mr. Gergasko in a statement. “But I’m excited about the opportunity to take the reins from Ron and lead the team that created the best workers compensation company in the nation. I’m eager to get to know Texas Mutual’s staff, agents, policyholders and board of directors.”

Mr. Wright has served as president and CEO since 2009.
