Lockton launches U.K. employee benefits practice

Lockton Cos. L.L.P. on Tuesday launched its U.K. employee benefits practice in London.

Earlier this month, Lockton announced it had acquired the risk broking team of London-based benefits consultancy Hymans Roberston L.L.P.

The brokerage also during January announced five appointments to its U.K. employee benefits team.

Lockton’s U.K. employee benefits practice is headed by Mike Tyler, who most recently was managing director of London-based Buck Consultants Ltd. He previously was chief operating officer of Mercer L.L.C. in the United Kingdom.

The practice will target clients with 50 employees or more, a spokesman for Lockton said.
