Nominations open for 2013 Risk Management Hall of Fame

The Risk & Insurance Management Society Inc. and American International Group Inc. are seeking nominees for the 2013 Risk Management Hall of Fame.

The Risk Management Hall of Fame was created in 2011 by RIMS and AIG to maintain the history of the risk management field and to recognize professionals who have made significant contributions to advancing the risk management discipline.

The deadline for nominations is Jan. 18; the nomination form is available at www.riskhalloffame.org. Completed nomination forms should be submitted by email to RMHOF@aig.com.

Hall of Fame candidates must have been a RIMS member for at least 10 years and have retired as a practicing risk manager at least three years prior to nomination or, if still active in the risk management or insurance industry, be at least age 65. Deceased candidates must have passed away at least one year prior to nomination.

Among the criteria to be considered by the selection committee are contributions to the field, prominent achievements, innovation and trend setting, leadership, character and service, and high standards of ethical and professional conduct.
