Willis makes executive changes in reorganization of international operations

Willis Group Holdings P.L.C. is completing a reorganization process of its international operations with senior management appointments, London-based Willis announced Tuesday.

Willis' continental European operations will be divided into two regions, one encompassing Western Europe and the other encompassing Central and Eastern Europe. Alberto Gallego, director general of Willis Iberia, has been appointed CEO of Willis Western Europe. Scott Pickering, CEO of South Africa and regional CEO of Middle East and Africa, will assume additional responsibility for Willis' Central and Eastern European operations.

In addition, Dan Wilkinson, CEO of Willis U.K., will leave Willis early next year to assume a position at reinsurer RSA Insurance Group P.L.C., Willis said. Until a successor is announced, the U.K. retail business will report to Willis International CEO Tim Wright.

“I would like to thank Dan for his 18 years of loyal service to Willis and wish him all the best in his future role,” said Mr. Wright in a statement. “As demonstrated in our latest quarterly earnings, Dan leaves Willis U.K. with a solid growth platform and a position of improving profitability. I look forward to announcing a successor in due course.”
