BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Aetna teams with Broadspire, ESIS, Gallagher Bassett to integrate claims filing

Aetna Inc. announced Monday that it has teamed up with three workers compensation third-party administrators to integrate the filing of non-occupation disability and workers comp claims.

“Members will now benefit from a combined disability and workers compensation claims process, allowing them to file all of their claims through a single process,” Aetna said in a statement.

To make that happen, Hartford, Conn.-based Aetna has teamed up with Atlanta-based Broadspire Services Inc., Philadelphia-based ESIS Inc. and Itasca, Ill.-based Gallagher Bassett Services Inc.

“The new user-friendly process allows for more efficient coordination of data sharing between workers' compensation administrators and Aetna,” the insurer said. “Our seamless solution will provide our customers with more choices and options to fully integrate their workers compensation offerings with Aetna's disability and absence management products."
