BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

HITRUST launches cyber threat analysis service for health care industry

FRISCO, Texas—HITRUST L.L.C. has launched a cyber threat analysis service designed specifically for the health care industry.

Called C-TAS, the program is available through its Cybersecurity Incident Response and Coordination Center, the company known as the Health Information Trust Alliance announced in a statement Tuesday.

The service aims to help protect health, personal and financial information by delivering reports and research about industry-related security threats as well as the sector-specific issues that can arise. It is available to small providers, large health systems and health plans, and pharmaceutical manufacturers, among other health care organizations.

C-TAS is a result of a partnership with iSIGHT Partners, a cyber intelligence firm based in Dallas.

“Cyber threats targeting the health care sector are very unique, and it's important to craft sector-specific threat intelligence capabilities and products,” said John Watters, CEO of iSIGHT Partners, in a statement. “One company's detection is the next company's prevention, and in this spirit we are working together as a community and leveraging our collective capabilities and insights to help the industry navigate its adaptive threat environment.”

The services available include a health care incident and malware report offering real-world technical analysis for security professionals, as well as a health care threat briefing, a forum for updates dealing with emerging threats and help prioritizing security funding.

The product also offers reports analyzing possible information technology weaknesses, research examining unidentified or suspected malicious software, or reports identifying and prioritizing emerging threats to the industry.

Subscribers can request all of these services or a combination of them. The cost of C-TAS is dependent on the size of the subscriber and which of its four-tiered pricing packages it chooses.
