Charlie Cook to address ABIA conference

Political analyst Charlie Cook will deliver the keynote address at the American Bankers Insurance Assn.'s annual conference.

Mr. Cook, editor and publisher of the Cook Report, has won a national reputation for accuracy and insight in political matters. He is also an analyst for NBC News and the National Journal.

The conference will take place in Phoenix Sept. 24-26. According to the ABIA, bank-insurance professionals, lawmakers and regulators will meet to discuss the latest trends in the growing bank-based insurance industry. In addition, more than 20 sessions will be held, dealing with such topics as business line integration, health care in an era of reform and using bank system for insurance product sales.

In addition, the conference will feature a new ABIA conference mobile app for iPads and smartphones (iPhone and Android), a hybrid web-based app for Blackberry, and a web-based version of the application for all other web browser-enabled phones. iPhone users can download the app in the App Store; Android users can get the app through Google Play.
