"Obesity and Severe Obesity Forecasts Through 2030"

A new study funded by the Centers for Disease Control and published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine forecasts a 33% growth in the prevalence of U.S. obesity over the next two decades. The prevalence of severe obesity will increase 130% during the time period. But if the U.S. could maintain the level of obesity at 2010 levels then $549 billion in medical savings would be possible over the next two decades. Read the study.
