Willis Re names executive director

LONDON—Willis Group Holdings P.L.C.’S Willis Re unit has appointed Andrea Welsch to the newly-created position of executive director, Willis announced Tuesday.

In its announcement, London-based Willis said that Ms. Welsch will work closely with the central and sales teams of Willis Re “to drive growth and align resources to identify and deliver the best reinsurance solutions to Willis Re's new and existing clients.”

Ms. Welsch’s appointment is effective May 28. Most recently, she served as head of business development at Grand Cayman-based Greenlight Capital Reinsurance Ltd.

Ms. Welsch will be based in London.
