QBE North America expands employment practices liability insurance

NEW YORK—QBE North America has expanded its employment practices liability insurance to include small- and medium-sized businesses.

In a statement Friday, the insurer announced its comparable coverage for companies with up to 250 employees.

The policy includes coverage against harassment or coercion, discrimination, wrongful failure to employ or promote, and wrongful discipline or dismissal. Options also are available for claims made by customers and vendors. Prior acts and punitive damages, when allowed by law, are covered as well.

Policy limits range from $25,000 to $1 million, and deductibles from $2,500 to $25,000. Pricing is determined by business size, among other factors.
