BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Chartis introduces bundled coverage for public entities

NEW YORK—Chartis Inc. has rolled out a coverage program designed for schools, associations and other public entities, the insurer announced Monday.

Called Leaders Risk Protector, the service bundles coverages for errors and omissions, management, network security and privacy, event management and employment practices liability, which includes workplace bullying and discrimination on gender identity or genetic information.

Nonprofit groups eligible for coverage include K-12 public or private schools, K-12 vocational and technical schools, charter schools, junior colleges, community colleges and four-year colleges with fewer than 5,000 students.

Chartis insurers will underwrite the policies.

“Schools, public entities and associations may be held responsible for damages emanating from diverse exposures including breach of public duty, employment practice violations, and data security and privacy violations. Leaders Risk Protector delivers far-reaching coverage for these multifaceted liabilities in one policy form,” said John Gambale, president of the professional liability unit within financial lines, in a statement.
