CS STARS recognized by honors program

Marsh Inc.'s CS STARS L.L.C, has been recognized as a 2012 Laureate by IDG's Computerworld Honors Program.

The annual award program honors visionary applications of information technology promoting positive social, economic, and educational change. CS STARS was recognized for its Risk Response product, which is fully integrated on its STARS enterprise risk management information system platform.

Risk Response, which was launched last year, monitors all information on U.S. weather events derived from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and information on earthquakes from the U.S. Geological Survey. It automatically determines which events may have an impact on the organization based on client-specific criteria. When an event is detected that meets certain criteria, Risk Response notifies risk management stakeholders, generates and assigns an appropriate risk assessment audit which is used to collect on-site data so that it can be integrated back into the system.

The Computerworld Honors Program awards will be presented in Washington on June 4.
