Aspen Insurance CFO Richard Houghton resigns

HAMILTON, Bermuda—Richard Houghton will leave his post as chief financial officer at Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd., effective Feb. 29, the reinsurer announced Tuesday.

Mr. Houghton will depart after five years with the company to pursue other opportunities, Aspen CEO Chris O'Kane said in a statement.

Mr. Houghton is remaining with Hamilton, Bermuda-based Aspen through the filing of its annual report on Form 10-K for the year ended Dec. 31, 2011, the company said.

Aspen's chief risk officer, Julian Cusack, will assume Mr. Houghton's responsibilities until a replacement can be found, according to the statement. The current head of risk, Stephen Postlewhite, will act as chief risk officer.
