Hub acquires New Mexico brokerage

Hub International Ltd. has acquired the assets of Las Cruces, N.M.-based Mahres & Mahres Insurance Agency, Chicago-based Hub announced Wednesday.

Mahres, an insurance brokerage firm, will become part of the New Mexico division of Hub International Insurance Services Inc. “The addition of the Mahres book of business further solidifies Hub's goal to expand its presence in the Las Cruces area,” said Hub in a statement announcing the acquisition.

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
